Once there was a humble boy from Yorkshire called Tom, who was born with his feet firmly on the ground. Elmodo7 is using Minecraft Forge a Minecraft mod loader but he shows his mods list in the video, clearly showing that there is no mod being used that could potentially fake such a sighting.

He loads a world and shows footage of a strange entity resembling an ender crystal flying through a spruce forest at night. He chases the object, trying to get a good look at it. Eventually, he is blown up by a creeper. Notably, no particles can be seen eminating from below the crystal, as we would expect to see if the crystal were riding an invisible mob.

Despite elModo's claims, there does not seem to be any evidence of this easter egg existing in normal versions of Minecraft, despite the UFO he caught on camera. Leaving this a very mysterious occurrence indeed. SSLithuania is an animator, as can be seen clearly on other videos on his channel, which similarly purport to contain footage of mysterious Minecraft creatures.

His video was created by simply animating a UFO over the night sky. This is why his character stands still for the duration of the UFO's presence on camera, as moving would make it clear the UFO was edited onto the screen rather than being present in the world.

But that can't explain away UFOs on its own, right? The other two videos clearly show the player characters moving around. TheMineCrafters3 simply used mods to make his video.

Specifically, he used blakmajik's Zeppelin Mod, for Minecrat 1. This can be proven by looking at the very beginning of his video, where a chat message reading "Speed: 0 Yawrate: 0 Ascent: 0" can be seen in the background, which is from the Zeppelin Mod. However, the last video clearly shows the Forge Menu where we can see that no mods are used. And we know the crystal isn't riding an invisible mob since no particle effects can be seen.

So how was this accomplished? Well, the mob simply isn't invisible. The crystal is riding on a bat, which is cleverly obscured by the darkness of the night. However, at one point, as elModo narrowly postpones death by creepers if only for a short time , we can see the bat clearly below the crystal.

Though the UFOs were ultimately fake, the legends surrounding them were nonetheless one of many interesting rumors surrounding Minecraft, especially in its early days, that helped to draw in popularity to the game. In the vast, lonely world of Alpha and into the early 1. Unfortunately, UFOs have often been overlooked in favor of focus on Herobrine and other creepypastas, like Entity and Null.
